EASY DIY Baby Food

When I first thought about having kids at the beginning of my marriage I was such a different person. If I would have had my daughter then, I am not sure what would have happened, but in my old age I have become somewhat “Crunchy”. I am still mostly EBF – Exclusively Breast Fed (for those that aren’t hip to the lingo as my Gran would say) and the only solid food she eats I make. I know a lot of mommas make their food – and for some reason I thought it was going to be some big huge thing. But my easy DIY baby food isn’t. I use a Baby Brezza (this is an affiliate link – if you buy then earn money while you get a product I love and use!) – it steams and processes your food in the same machine. You can soften your veggies and fruit anyway you wish I just love the convenience and ease of this machine! So I thought I would share for other “crunchy” mommas and for the not “crunchy” ones in case they want to dip a toe into the “crunchy” waters!

Ingredients
Servings: 2 ounce baby food containers
Instructions
  1. Cut sweet potatoes into chunks. Steam sweet potatoes for at least 20 minutes until completely soft (in the Baby Brezza we ONLY use distilled water, this helps to not build up residue and such in the tank).
  2. Once sweet potatoes are steamed add spinach and fruit. Steam again for at least 10 minutes. If you are not using the Baby Brezza or other baby food steamer, you can add in the spinach and fruit when you only have 10 minutes left on your sweet potatoes.
  3. Once everything is steamed, drain all residual water. Put ingredients into food processor or blender or masher. Add breastmilk, almond milk, or water. Mix or mash ingredients together.
  4. Put into containers.
Recipe Notes

I usually freeze these until they are ready for use. I really love how easy this baby food is and Aurora loves to eat it! Happy baby, happy momma. Hope you all enjoy! Loves xoxo!
